Due to the editorial nature of these sites the audits were required to run across hundreds of thousands of pages – all of which needed to be prioritised for attention from quick wins through to longer term challenges.

After several immersion sessions to understand the internal capabilities of the Hearst Team, we provided a detailed roadmap for improved organic performance across technical implementations, existing content optimisation and new content creation. With multiple different stakeholders relying upon the Hearst tech team, their capacity to implement changes would change rapidly, meaning that weekly reviews of the roadmap and an agile approach to updating it were required to ensure organic growth was achieved.
