Groupon wanted to increase organic traffic to their new discount code pages – via a mix of on-page and off-page content
We wanted to create a piece of content which would resonate across all markets – and also be highly engaging for Groupon’s core demographic. We decided that International Record Store day was the perfect event to leverage. Journalists would be keen to write about the day, but it was unlikely that a wealth of content would be produced – providing us with the perfect opportunity.
Working with acclaimed illustrator, Dan Sherratt, we created an interactive infographic featuring 100 of the most iconic outfits from music; a huge undertaking which required over two months of illustrative work. To ensure cut through in each country a selection of unique illustrations was created for each market.
Once the piece was released our digital PR team worked hand-in-hand with local teams to push the content out in time for International Record Day.
